The Rahoon Youth Project is an after-school youth development project financed by the Young Persons Facilities & Services Fund of the Office of the Minister of Children and Youth Affairs through Galway Roscommon Education and Training Board. The project is managed by Youth Work Ireland Galway. Currently, there are two Project workers: Anne Pigott works with 10 - 21 year olds living in Corrach Bui and Kerry E'lyn Larkin works with secondary school age young people living in Droim Chaoin and adjacent estates. The Rahoon Youth Project aims to prevent early use, abuse and misuse of alcohol and other drugs by delivering a programme of developmental activities, supports and training to young people in the target group.
