Enable Ireland Galway
Enable Ireland Galway

Enable Ireland's Children Centre opened in 1996. It provides free services to children between 0-18 years living in Galway with physical and sensory disabilities, as well as early developmental delays.

Our mission at Enable Ireland is to enable those who use our services to achieve maximum independence, choice and inclusion in their communities. To ensure that this is delivered, the centre has an interdisciplinary team specially trained to work with children and their families.

The team consists of;
- Medical Director
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational therapists
- Speech & language therapists
- Psychologists
- Social worker
- Pre-school teacher
- Personal assistants
- Respite workers
- Drivers
- Bus escorts
- Assistive Technology Technician

Enable Ireland Galway relies heavily on volunteers annually. Volunteers are specifically required to participate in fundraising activities, which is vital in maintaining and expanding service delivery. Volunteers are also required to assist with children's activities run at the centre, as well as the Enable Ireland shop located on High Street.

By joining our volunteer and event team, you will help make a huge difference to the lives of many children in Galway.

Please note:
New volunteering opportunities should be entered through the student volunteer website. You can still view your previously entered opportunities here.
